About Us

Tim comes from a long line of agriculture. From dairyman stock in San Diego Co, CA, he turned to wheat farming when his father began to buy farm ground in Wallowa County, OR during the 1960’s. He met his future wife, Audry Melville, at the local high school. Audry’s family homesteaded in Wallowa County in the 1880’s. Lucky for Tim, she grew up in a grain, hay and cattle family only two farms down the road. In the 1970’s they started their own proprietorship. Keeping the farm alive through the years has included leasing, renting and owning farm ground and the creation of several custom farming and harvesting businesses. Tim’s passion for farming and innovation in technology and conservation practices have greatly shaped Cornerstone Farms J.V.’s success.

Growing up in a Wallowa County pioneer family; Audry was raised on a stock and wheat ranch out of Enterprise. With her family legacy and nearly 45 years of Ag. bookkeeping; Audry’s skill set is vital to our family business life. Together, she and Tim, raised their two boys, Kevin and Kurt to share their love for working the land. Her giving spirit and hospitality have helped shape the family farm.

Kurt Melville was born and raised on the farm in Enterprise, Oregon. Early on, a joy for the farm and the variety of its work was instilled. Kurt began farming his own rented acres in high school. Upon graduation, he pursued an Agricultural Education degree from the University of Idaho. Kurt soon met his wife Heather there. Upon completing their degrees; Kurt and Heather returned to farm in Enterprise.

Heather J. Melville grew up in a North Idaho logging family. She received her BS in Forest Products Timber Harvesting from the University of Idaho. Her understanding of natural resource based business has benefited the farm. Heather can be found willing to learn anything and work where needed. Teaching their four kids a strong work ethic and love of the land is her passion. Heather is involved in the community. She serves on the county’s Natural Resource Advisory Council, Enterprise School Board and leads the Crazy H’s Livestock 4-H Club.

Kevin Melville was born and raised on the family farm in Enterprise, Oregon. He learned that he loved farming at a young age. Kevin began farming on his own during high school in 1988. He obtained an Agricultural Systems Management degree from the University of Idaho in 1995. He and his wife, Kerrie, were married that same year. He and Kerrie formed their own farming operation, K & K Farms, LLC in 1999. In 2016, K & K Farms, LLC merged its operation with Cornerstone Farms Joint Venture. He is currently serving on the Wallowa County Soil and Water Conservation Board, the Wallowa County Grain Growers Board of Directors, the Alder Slope Ditch Company Board, the Corban University Ag Advisory Board, and is an Elder at Enterprise Christian Church.

Kerrie Melville was born and raised on a Holstein dairy farm in Southern California, and later in the Central Valley of California. She graduated from business college after high school and worked in the insurance industry and was also a legal secretary. About the time she and Kevin’s first child was born, she became a stay at home mom. She has been the secretary and bookkeeper for K & K Farms, LLC since its inception, and has been the same for Cornerstone Farms Joint Venture since 2016. She currently serves on the Wallowa County Farm Service Agency Committee.
